On any website, blog, or whatever you want to call it, the «About me», «About us», or similar sections are curiously the hardest and/or most complicated ones to write, even when the author has hundreds and even thousands of writings.
I work in systems administration (SysAdmin), independently with my own company supporting other companies and selling services related to IT infrastructure in general, which also includes information security services… Well, this part is boring: I didn’t build this website to offer my professional services, but to publish all kinds of things.
In my case, I have hundreds of articles I wrote more than a decade before starting this website, but I didn’t publish them here because they cover topics I abandoned and currently abstain from. Perhaps many people have landed here looking for answers or «more information» about those subjects — let me make it clear from the start that they won’t find them, because that Javier no longer exists. In fact, I wrote most of them when I was a minor; by the time I turned 18 I was already running a community of more than 8,000 people in a very organized way.
This website is at the same time a Fediverse profile under the identity @javier@orozco.observer, and every article lives federated on the ActivityPub network. The reason for «having my own social network» is that I literally got fed up with being banned everywhere for being «controversial»: they shut down my Facebooks, Twitters, Xs, everything. So one day I exported all the posts from my oldest profile and imported them into a federated profile under my own control, and this was the result. The Notas section includes all the short posts, Artículos has my longest and most developed writings, and Videos filters only the ones I’ve uploaded to my public channels. I left everything old exactly as it was, without modifications and preserving their original publication dates, even though many of my old claims have changed by now. But I’m one of those who believe transparency matters, and I’m not ashamed of my past; on the contrary, I’m proud to affirm that as humans we are in constant change as we acquire new knowledge.
Another thing I should clarify is that in this section I will speak literally about myself — I mean, why describe the website when the articles and their content speak for themselves? Besides, just as I said in the first article published on my previous website:
…the motivation and/or reason for creating this blog is simple and summed up in a single word: None! […] What kind of content will I publish here? That’s easy to answer: whatever the fuck I feel like! […] that’s exactly what my fucking name on it is for; I don’t think there’s a single person on this fucking planet who, 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, does, talks, eats, performs, thinks, dialogues, etc., about a single topic»
With that cleared up, it’s already understood that this webpage is neither a «professional profile or portfolio» nor anything of the sort; it’s simply a superficial reflection of my brain, my mind, my thoughts. So…
Who am I?
Simple description
Enemy of the universe, enemy of the system — but I don’t mean the «system» everyone normally knows or refers to by that name, but the system called «existence».
Detailed description
To give a brief description of myself I would have to start by affirming that I question everything and that I’m a nonconformist with what surrounds me: I identify with nothing and no one — no causes, no beliefs, no ideals foreign to my own thoughts. That’s why I find it absurd that someone comes to qualify or judge me based on, or in the name of, some idea established by another brain that wasn’t mine. Only I can tell when I’ve erred and when I haven’t. I am my own judge and my own inspiration.
I am a skeptic of ethics and morality. To me, nobody is truly worthy of my respect. It is as absurd for me to have to treat «nicely» someone who deserves to be told to their face, without beating around the bush, that they are a great «son of a bitch». Using «foul language» produces neither remorse nor shame in me; I don’t see it as something negative, and I ignore the accusations of others because, to me, only my own judgment is valid. That kind of attitude has been forged mainly because the human species doesn’t matter to me: whatever another simple biological entity tells me holds no validity or influence over my life. To some, this might sound like «misanthropy», but labels and classifications don’t really work with me.
I’ll try to be brief in this small introduction or description of myself. I’m from Colombia (a sudaca, banana-republic, third-world country) where you find some of the «worst of the worst»; it’s possible that’s why I was born here — one shouldn’t ignore «coincidences». I am not a man of faith or of subjective beliefs. I’m not exactly an atheist, but third parties might say I’m a sort of ignostic (with an i) because of the way I approach those topics — not because I do my best to fit the description of what igteism is, but because I have to see, question, or verify before I can affirm something, and not just «believe» it without more. Belief is not the same as certainty, and believing is not the same as trusting or affirming. As an example I’ll say: people can believe in a politician’s promises, but they don’t possess the certainty to trust or affirm they will be kept. That’s also why I don’t believe in any «God» (there are many).
I’m passionate about computing, hacking, and programming — anything systems-related — with special emphasis on Free Software, since it offers a unique academic ease; besides, using and promoting it ensures that something as important as technology is not under the control and power of the usual governments or in the hands of private companies with hidden interests. That also means I dedicate myself to what I love: making money from your hobby is something I recommend; everyone should try it.
In musical tastes I’m quite varied. I don’t belong to any of the so-called «urban cultures» — be they metalheads, punks, underground, or whatever «coca-colas» call themselves — and every day something weird and new comes out, mainly because the new generations and the youth in general are increasingly «fucked up in the head»; the world goes from bad to worse, but well… speaking of music, I can listen to and delight in a good classical symphony, up to 80s Hard Rock, going through a «Latin American» rhythm like Salsa and finishing with an electro mix. It doesn’t matter: I have no musical prejudices, though there are certain lyrics I avoid for being so tremendously stupid or degrading. I am a musician, although I’ve gone many years without practicing any instrument; I never devoted myself to one in particular, though I used to regularly play the piano and the guitar.
On religions or worship practices, I reject them all, since I consider them a tool designed for the vulgar masses. Besides being a fraud, they are instruments of mass control and brainwashing (quite ancient ones, by the way). A while back I was more interested in the psychic practices that explore and develop the hidden aptitudes of the mind/brain; I studied esoteric mysteries for a long time — authentically esoteric ones, true to the real definition of the word «esoteric», since nowadays people call «esotericism» things like cartomancy, commercial astrology, and other garbage that are just a profitable business model loosely linked to vulgar religions.
In fact, those things easily and effortlessly found in popular books, on TV, in ridiculous documentaries like History Channel’s, are more exactly defined by the word exoteric with an X. But be that as it may, both esotericism and exotericism are nothing more than human inventions, just like religions; the difference is that organized cults are aimed at the masses, and the others at a kind of «hidden minorities». Although my conclusion after years of study and practice is that nothing fantastic or mystical exists: reality can seem so «simple and boring»… but it’s real, exactly as it is. There’s no need to add powers, mythological beings, or fantasies to appreciate the greatness and complexity of our universe. I used to ask myself, “Why do they call existence «creation»?” Not everything necessarily had to be created by some «superior intelligence»; you only see that in archaic fables — and we’re in the 21st century, not the Stone Age.
On political ideals, I think the world is already fucked. At the moment (I’m not claiming anything for the future, because «things take many turns») I follow no political ideology other than my own thoughts to survive existence (I don’t call «life» «living», but «surviving»). I’m not politically correct; I think that’s quite clear. Although I also don’t like saying I’m «politically incorrect», since many people use that label and I have nothing in common with them. Perhaps I could be better considered politically indifferent.
But if they asked me «What would seem ideal to you?» or «How would you like things to be?», I would answer that the peoples and nations of the world should give rise to a Third Position political model. That means it wouldn’t be a government of the right or of the left, much less the self-proclaimed «center». That model is not liberal, nor Marxist, nor anarchist; on the contrary, it opposes these destructive and degenerative ideas. The movements that have had this kind of ideas are Fascism, National Socialism, Falangism, among other lesser-known nationalisms. Historical propaganda has been in charge of modifying reality by manipulating history and sowing, in the form of indoctrination into the collective intellect of the masses, a natural prejudice and rejection toward this type of ideologies. People today know nothing about the bases and ideological foundations of the Third Position — nothing but the garbage they see in Hollywood or on TV. They have the «official version»; they’ve never seen «the other side of the coin».
Although I emphasize — as I’ve said several times in this same text — I follow no political ideology. I just think that would be ideal, but at the same time I see it as a utopia, a dream, something impossible in a world that keeps going from bad to worse. A nature as degenerative as the current one could not produce something of such good quality as a fair and rational government. Besides, I lost my trust in the human species a long time ago: of the entire animal kingdom, it’s the most corrupt, traitorous, destructive, violent, invasive, etc. They are worse than biological viruses.
Other things that could be named among my personal tastes — mainly in reading or films — are philosophy (I studied a degree in Philosophy, but didn’t finish it), although after all I consider it another utopia; paganism or the «heretical» pre-Christian and pre-Judaic cults are another topic I enjoy researching; historical revisionism that questions the «official versions»; military and psychological strategy; free software like GNU/Linux, programming and hacking. I don’t watch TV — I haven’t even had the service contracted for many years; I prefer to choose directly what to watch via streaming.
I tend to be more realistic than normal. Having named what seems ideal to me as a political system, it’s clear that my own life, and even my very selfish ideas, could not fit into something like that (for now). Life is too short to spend it locked in a mental fantasy illusion, dreaming of changing things that have no solution and in which one has neither voice, nor vote, nor the opportunity to be a direct agent of change. I’m just being sincere… the normal life of the human biological entity is short and limited, and nowadays the world moves and is enjoyed (apparently) only with money and power. Is it worth sacrificing yourself for others, then? There’s a very common myth among people who tend to have feelings and say they want to «help their neighbor»: that «life» is only «life» if you do something for others. That is false to me: what doesn’t bring money on this planet truly serves nothing. And those who claim to be helping, like NGOs or foundations and the like, it’s because they’re «rolling in cash».
There are other ways of living life away from materialism, like a naturalistic way of life, which I admit is an interesting mode of living; and it’s not what some label it as — a simple pagan creed or cult to Gods full of sacrifices and outlandish «anti-current» rituals. But that brings certain requirements, and very few communities have really managed to adopt a similar self-sustaining model, economically independent from the «state» they are in. I don’t believe I’ll live long enough to finally see the total collapse of the so-called «civilization», much less do I believe I’ll see everything change in my limited life. I prefer to put my effort into my personal interests, satisfy my needs and not those of others, since, as I said before, I also have my own moral code. I am not subject to or limited by concepts that others defined, and I think one must adapt to changes. Since World War II ended, you have to survive any way you can, because from that date the world finished getting fucked — I would say almost absolutely, and at least up to the moment of writing this, I would classify it as unrecoverable and unresolvable.
In summary, part of my codes of conduct or «morals» could be summed up as: I don’t possess feelings nor am I interested in them; I never regret anything I do or say, because to me my acts are perfect regardless of the external rule or norm established by others; I don’t believe in subjective things, nor illusions or lies that can’t be proven; I consider that all situations should be handled with a cool head and a cold mindset, regardless of their level of gravity or importance; I trust no one and have no «friendships», and I hope nobody considers me their «friend» — but I do share the concept of camaraderie… although, literally as it sounds, I count my comrades on the fingers of one hand. I never say what I really think in front of people I don’t know, and I don’t speak more than necessary. I prefer being alone over being well or badly accompanied; both companies are the same to me. I don’t respect pity or weakness, for they are a disease that weakens the strong. I don’t change my opinion through influences or debates with others, but I can suddenly do it if my own judgment alone so indicates. I don’t consider anyone a «loved one», and that makes me seem cold or cruel in my expressions toward others, but it’s truly my natural state for communicating things: I say everything without beating around the bush and without anesthesia, and I never add softeners to my words.
I firmly believe that the end justifies the means, and that the human species prefers receiving «pretty lies» over «cruel truths/realities»… you have to keep them content in their mental prisons when necessary, then. I prefer to show myself as I am, without beating around the bush, than to lie and hide things the way others do. I don’t require obsessive/compulsive sexual pleasure, since that is a simple animal instinct that evolution must overcome. I don’t build illusions or castles in the air, because objectivity must always prevail in any project or plan. I firmly believe in not leaving for tomorrow what can be done right now. I am a man of fewer words and more action. To me, a person’s selfishness is worth more than their gratitude, and I always try not to commit to anything or anyone, nor to foreign causes except my own. I’m fanatical about always planning things with their various probabilities and possibilities, including the chances of failure. And when I want to obtain something, I apply the rule of thinking whatever the hell I want but acting normally, like everyone else, to go unnoticed — even pretending to be the most social and agreeable guy in the world while inside I think everyone stinks. I believe that sums up, in a «whole», the meaning I will give to my personal opinions.
I’m not a pessimist, I’m a realist. But more than that — I’m a don’t-give-a-fuck-ist!
